When Dr Adey started to suffer with hair loss, she looked for solutions and together with Professor Moseley looked which scientific advances could help her.  She found that while there were many evidence-based treatment options that could help, such as Platelet Rich Plasma and low level laser therapy, her GP and two dermatologists' only offer of help was to suggest she use Regaine (minoxidil). 

 

She had to persuade her doctor to run blood tests to look for potential causes, it was not easy to get an appointment and there were tests they wouldn't include
